This Week in College Football

There's a lot of talk about how good the Georgia Bulldogs are this year. I don't see it...they just barely beat an offensively-inept South Carolina team on Saturday, this after giving up 4 touchdowns last week to 1-AA Georgia Southern. Unless they improve a lot as the year goes on, they will lose to Florida (like they always do) and probably not even win their conference, let alone a national title.

Our beloved Cougars struggled against Stanford, losing 37-10. Next up: The #1 Trojans, who just romped Colorado State 49-0--Good luck . . . Oklahoma beat the Houston Cougars, and Colorado beat the Washington State Cougars, making teams with the nickname "Cougars" 0 for 3 for the weekend . . . Fresno State and Utah both passed tests this weekend, and their schedules favor them to both go undefeated and thus hopefully put some pressure on the BCS system.
