A joke you can stomach

I just wanted to share a funny story that happened the other day. I'm currently doing an internship in the Kane County Attorney's office in Kanab, UT. I was sitting in court listening to testimony from a cop about a drug case. The cop was talking about an interview he had with the defendant. Here's the conversation:

Defense attorney: So Officer _________, why did you only record half of the drug interview?
Officer: I actually only realized a few days ago that the interview was recorded. I don't remember recording the interview at all.
Defense attorney: So how did the interview get recorded?
Officer: I'm not sure, but I can only speculate. Would you like me to speculate on that?
Defense attorney: Yes please.
Officer: The recording device hooks on my belt below the stomach. My only guess is that my stomach somehow turned on the recording device.
Defense attorney: No further questions, your honor.
Judge: Would the State like to redirect? (prosecutor)
Prosecutor: Yes, your honor. I just had one question for the officer. Officer _______, are you suggesting that it was your GUT REACTION that started that recording device?
Defense attorney: Objection, your honor. That was a really bad joke.
Judge: Sustained

I did not know that attorneys even had senses of humor. That was a pretty good joke.

2 new jokes (I heard these yesterday):
What did the thunderstorm mechanic say?
A: I hope they can help me find my missing bolts!

What did the tree say to the sage brush?
A: Look at them mountains

Uh . . . wow.

So is Kanab in a humor drought right now or what? A little starved for entertainment out there?

Ah, poor Douglas Key Huntington; he must be in real pain!

Man, what is up with Anonymous... and what is up with MR. T? I can't believe he let that comment slide.

Rooster: I just think you're jealous. I've seen about 20 polygs in the past week and they're ripe for the pickin'.

Saurus: thanks for the tip. Have you ever had a chance to check out the animal sanctuary? Spookiest pet cemetary I've ever seen.

If anyone wants to hear more jokes, I'll be happy to keep them coming.
