now that it's become a problem

I know I'm a broken record here, but internet explorer is a security nightmare.

I just spent the last hour or so cleaning the west desk computer because there was so much spyware and junk on it. This is all from internet explorer. I had changed the settings earlier to keep things safer, but some chucklehead changed them back to something inherently unsafe. So now you just can't use IE for anything but BYU and lds.org. Firefox will work for anything else you need. If it doesn't work with firefox, you don't need to be surfing it at west.

Please stop killing these computers. Do not download things unless you are computer-savvy enough to know that they're safe. If you're not sure, ask someone who knows, or just don't do it.

We're only creating hassle for ourselves, so let's just not anymore. Thanks.

It's the end of the world as we know it.

Good luck to all with finals. I will say a little prayer (a very little one) for all of you to do well. BUT, as for those lucky little suckers who are done with finals already/graduating...I shake my wobbly fist at you.

" 'Curse you, you non-procrastinators!'...said the concerned security guard, with her fist in the air..."

Love,
L'Afro/Lil'Afro

P.S. Mr. T loves you too.

Wanna kill some time?

Here are some more interesting/weird/entertaining news stories to keep you company:

Mike Tyson wanna-be - Which story do you, the reader, believe?

Straight from a horror movie - The last paragraph made me laugh in horror.

Napoleon Dynamite's new favorite animal? - Bred for it's skills in aquatic magic.

Or maybe these are all entertaining to me because I didn't get much sleep last night (that was a shout out for you, 729).

Oh great!

Thank you, Lil' Afro for pointing out my previous mistake.

Like the English need another excuse to have bad teeth.

Ok, that was harsh and unnecessary. . .but so are the English! Boo-yah!

It's a boy(s)/girl(s)!!

I just wanted to be one of the first to say,

CONGRATULATIONS!

Disturbing, yet touching.

Late night hallucinations

It was a late, late night in the HBLL when all of the sudden, in came dancing a banana. Then came another banana, followed by two gorillas, whooping and hollering like they were doing something really stupid. As Rooster said, "Do you have a license to be gay?"

So I blew the whistle on this late-night freshman revelry, and the HBLL was restored to peace and quiet.

The End.

~L'Afro, the War Walrus ("With my mighty gorilla in hand I will gay you all...")

P.S. This really happened, to all of you who don't believe me...(Dan)

Throughout wont cut it.

So I know we all hate writing up the Book Mutilation Forms and thus skimp on whatever we can. However, using the term "throughout" will no longer be enough to describe what pages have been damaged. Let me explain a few things.

When the cases you turn in are filtered through the book mutilation team they are (or should be) attempting to defend the student, not give you the benefit of the doubt. So in order to prove that this student is the horrible mutilator of books that you think they are at least give me a page number from each book that will match the damage caused by this person. If there are not a lot of pages damaged you still need to write all of the pages you can find that show that type of damage.

If you don't do this your work will be in vain, as I will just place the books back on the cart and list your name in my head on "The List" and you don't want to be on "The List" trust me.

Gate count for extended hours

This is just a friendly reminder about keeping track of the gate counts for extended hours. I'll have you write it on the shift logs. Thanks.

The worst date in the history of the world

Friends and co-workers, I just wanted to share with you my worst date story. Honestly, it was so bad that I couldn't even laugh about it for a while. Be warned; the write-up of this historical event is really long. Then again, it was a really long night, so...yeah.

Enjoy! I sure didn't.
